Breaking : ISL- I league to be merged in 2017-18 season.
In Thursday’s meet at #AIFF house , Kushal Das has stated that soon India is going to have ONE league. They are more interested in incorporating 3 teams into ISL,namely, Bengaluru FC, East Bengal and Mohun Bagan. West Bengal , apart from Maharashtra to have two clubs in the newly formed ISL. Mohun Bagan to get merged with ATK and East Bengal will join ISL with investment from some private company.
Besides, the newly formed league will be named #ISL due to its fame and popularity it has generated all over the world. Former Pune FC CEO Chirag Tanna is the man strategising this move for merger. A new club from Pune, DSK Shivajians have joined the I league bandwagon this year. Even, they are ready to merge with ISL club Pune City FC in 2-3 years.
